Privacy notice.
This website collects very little. It sets no cookies, stores nothing about you, and only receives personal details when you send us a request.
Who is responsible
Pinquin is operated by Sp/f A-23A, Hoyvíksvegur 5, Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. A-23A is responsible for the personal data described on this page.
Questions about your data go to hello@pinquin.ai.
When you send a request
The request form asks for your name, work email, organisation and website, what you’d like to talk about, the times that suit you, and an optional note.
We use these details only to reply to you and arrange the conversation you asked for. The form sends them to us by email. They are not stored on this website or in any database.
We do this because you asked us to: it is a step you request before a possible agreement, and in our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about Pinquin.
We don’t add you to a newsletter or a sales sequence, and we don’t sell or share your details with anyone else.
Protection against spam
To stop automated spam without a puzzle, the website counts how many requests come from each internet address. The count is kept only in the server’s working memory for 10 minutes and is never written down or sent anywhere.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which is hosted in the EU and uses no cookies. It doesn’t collect personal data or follow you between websites; it tells us how many people visited which pages and where they came from.
Technical logs
Like any web server, our hosting provider records technical information about requests, such as the internet address, the page requested and the time, to keep the service running and secure. These logs are kept for a limited time and aren’t used to identify visitors.
Who handles the data for us
We use a few service providers:
- Railway (Railway Corporation, USA): hosts the website in its EU region.
- Google Workspace: our email, where request emails arrive.
- Plausible Analytics: cookie-free visitor statistics, hosted in the EU.
Railway and Google are based in the United States and may process data there, for example technical logs. Those transfers are covered by the EU’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The Faroe Islands are recognised by the European Commission as giving personal data an adequate level of protection, so data can move between the EU and A-23A without extra safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep request emails only as long as we need them to arrange and follow up on the conversation you asked for, and then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@pinquin.ai and we’ll answer within one month.
Complaints
If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Faroese Data Protection Agency (Dátueftirlitið, dat.fo), or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
